Greg.. 2 quick questions man.
1) I know your better half can sing... have you two recorded anything together? 2) Ever spoofed a song just for chips and giggles?

Hey man...
Jessica has a great voice! We've recorded some things over the years, mostly on the old worship CDs I used to do at my old church... some fun times. We haven't done much lately...
As for spoofing a song... you mean like a parody? Nah... I mean, why would I need to when there are geniuses like Apologetix running around.

on the spoof.. uhm... apologetix is good at what they do if ya like what they do. Years ago I rewrote the words to "Summer of 69" in like 5 minutes and this past summer I redid "American Pie" for the roast I did for my minister. I could see how apologetix and weird Al could get wrapped up in doing it b/c it takes little to no talent or time, but it usually comes out funny.
Get Jess' in the studio with ya man... I want hear some harmony with her. That'd be sweet. Peace

Okay, let me just say because I don't think the sarcasm came through the first time...
Apologetix is about the most horrible thing in the history of music. I have to say, I'm not much of a fan of parody, unless it's really, really funny, and even then, it's good only for novelty. I can see the minister roast being a pretty effective use of it. However, recording whole albums of unfunny parodies (like um... apologetix) is just a bad, bad, bad idea. I mean, did the world really need a Christianized version of Marcy Playground's song "Sex and Candy" (remade from "I smell sex and candy" into "I read second timothy... yeah!")?
I'll answer that question... no, we did not. And this planet will forever be a little bit worse because that steaming pile of audio dung exists.

Hhahahahahh.. well said, although, turning Kid Rock's "Cowboy" into "Choir Boy" was just dang funny in a sort of "Jeff puking white castles" kind of way, funny once, but not something you ever want to witness or hear ever again. That's the only Apologetix I've ever heard. The 2 I did weren't "Christianized", but rather thrown in a blender and mangled to become "Summer I Lost My Arm" and "My Receeding Hairline" ... why do minister's always start balding in their late 20's? Ministry's tough, but geez.
