It's not often that I find a new artist or album that just floors me completely. Today, that happened. The album is "These Friends of Mine" by Rosie Thomas. It's actually Rosie Thomas with Sufjan Stevens and Denison Whitmer... they're on pretty much every song with her. Most of them function as duets. If you like the quieter side of Sufjan's music, this will probably make you pass out. It's incredible... amazing writing, great production (lots of nice quiet guitars and banjo... it just sounds great, and there's also a string section on some songs... amazing). I think this is only available right now on Emusic and Itunes. If you don't have emusic, you can sign up for a 2 week trial and get 25 free downloads. You can cancel after the free downloads no questions asked which is cool... so basically, you could go download this for free if you wanted. Also, I'm on emusic too so go download me for free! - Greg
