Hey gang..
got a couple new CDs I like a lot I thought I'd share...
First... Hem has a new disc out called "No Room for Tom" and it's awesome... a collection of live tracks and b-sides... they somehow make a live 4 piece sound like an orchestra sometimes... they're amazing. They're live band is a singer, a piano player, a drummer, a pedal steel, an electric guitar, and a mandolin... it's a really unique sound and just wonderful.
Richard julian - slow new york... this guy is becoming one of my favorite singer-songwriters. He's poignant, funny, and just insane creative... his songs are all over the map in a very good way. Norah Jones co-produced the disc but it doesn't sound like a male norah jones at all.
Check 'em out on itunes if you want... I dig 'em!

Hey... I got a new CD today... Run DMC's greatest hits!! Ok, feel free to make fun of me now. I saw it and had to feed my nostalgia.
Greg... as for Hem... what kind of music is it and would you recommend "Rabbit Songs" or this new one for a first timer?
Everyone, if you haven't heard, Emusic.com is offering 25 free downloads right now. After that I think they are $.25 a pop. I don't know much about these download sites because I'm a po' boy with no MP3 player to call my own which I'm coming to realize really limits my exposure to some sweet music. I really hate buying a CD without hearing a sample first and finding out I hate the sound. At least at ITunes and Emusic you can sample the stuff.
That is all.. peace out hippies
