Thanks to everyone who came out to New City Cafe last night for the show with me, Dave Potts, and Heidi Gilson. From my perspective, it was a really good show and a really good night! Heidi did a great but too short opening set and then Dave played just a fantastic set of his songs. I didn't know Dave was so funny but that guy has got a great sense of humor. He was nice enough to let me play piano on two of his songs ("A day to remember" and "one mississippi"). I played my set with Adam Whipple and he did an amazing job... he played electric guitar, piano, accordion, and pennywhistle... it added so much to the songs. My setlist was: My Jesus Won't Give Up on Me Connor's Lullaby The Ballad of Beverly Brown Old Radio Are You Out There Tonight Talking Tom Cruise Scientology Blues Uncle Joe's Bunions Heavenly Descent Rock of Ages The only brand new song I played was The Ballad of Beverly Brown and that went over pretty well.. I'm hoping to make a demo of that sometime soon to share with you guys here. It's a weird, weird, weird little song that I thought would bomb and had been really hesitant to play, but it seemed to connect. That's always a great feeling when a song you weren't sure about seems to go over well. So... if you were there, thanks so much for coming! It was great to play to a full room and I was really glad that we were able to have a good crowd for Dave. Check him out at www.davepotts.com- Greg

It was a great concert, Greg! Although, I must say Connor almost stole the show! Best rendition of Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star I have ever heard. (And I've heard a lot.) He truly was impressive. My two year old would have melted into the floor with all those people looking at him.
The Ballad of Beverly Brown was superb and definitely profound and My Jesus Won't Give Up on Me is becoming my favorite. Can't wait till the next one!

i had fun too. the ballad of beverly brown was good. the name sounds a lot like the ballad of hansberry brown though. but it was still a good song.

There are really no copyrights no titles, though sometimes people try to sue for the classics"if" it is the same or sounds too similar.
