Today's the day! Both records get their official send-off into the world today. Yesterday was a mad scramble to the finish... I didn't receive the final piece of the "thirty-three" packaging until yesterday morning in the mail. Of course, that was fine because I wasn't finished recording the record yet! I decided at the last minute that a b-sides record wouldn't be complete without a little hidden track action so I spent a few hours last night working on that. I don't think you guys will enjoy it as much as I do, but it's pretty cool as far as hidden tracks go.
Then I was up until 3:00 packaging and burning copies of "Thirty-Three" and this morning I'm addressing all of the pre-order envelopes so I can ship them out today.
By the time I go to bed tonight, I'll have the first 100 copies of "Thirty-Three" finished and nearly 50 of them will be out in the mail on their way to you guys.
Speaking of that... I had nearly 50 pre-orders which BLEW MY MIND! I was expecting between 10 and 20... you guys and gals are AWESOME! Thank you so much. After spending so much money to finish these records I was quite literally completely broke. Those pre-orders helped to pay the bills at home this month so I thank you, my wife thanks you, my son thanks you.
Also, in a really unexpected surprise, "Chase the Western Sky" is on iTunes as of this morning. Usually it takes them about 2 months to get a record listed but for some reason, they put a rush on this one. It's pretty cool that they just happened to go live with it on the actual release day! So... if you like the iTunes and want to get the record that way, feel free.
Also, and I know this is asking a lot of your time, but if any of you would feel like saying a few kind words about my records on iTunes, I would greatly, greatly appreciate it. Those little reviews can make a big difference.
Also, in case you're wondering, I haven't decided yet if I'm going to put "Thirty-Three" on iTunes. I probably will at some point but I'm not in a big hurry to do it. I don't want some stranger to have that be their first exposure to my music... it's just not up to the production standards of my studio records.
Okay... back to packaging and burning. Thank you guys so much for allowing me to keep doing this.
