Hey,
Just wanted to say thanks to all of you who came out to the show at New City. For those of you who didn't, you missed a really fun night. Arthur Alligood opened and was great... he has some awesome new songs. "Camp Living Stones" is fantastic and made me miss my church camp I went to growing up, and Arthur, your new song about "He is not like us" is incredible. I love, love, love the lyrics to that one.
Andy Osenga played about 70 minutes with a full band and they sounded amazing. He played a handful of new songs that were great, and also some of his solo stuff and some of his Normal's stuff. Even did a Caedmon's song... it was a really great set.
Oh yeah, and I played too. I had more fun playing last night than I have in a long time... I think it was just having the opportunity to play with so many friends. I had Marcus Fife on drums and acoustic guitar, Danny Rosenbalm on pedal steel, Megan Ketchum on violin, Skip Tanaka on bass, and Andy Osenga sat in on the songs from the record on electric guitar.
Here's a setlist:
My Own worst Enemy (new)
I Never Want to Hurt You Again (new)
Old Radio (new)
Talkin' Tom Cruise Scientology Blues
Your First Christmas (new)
My Jesus won't give up on me (new)
On the Edge
Are you out there Tonight
Tattered Old Notebook
Romantic Comedy
The Black Keys
Connor's Lullaby
I See a Lot of You in Me
Rock of Ages
Come Lord Jesus (Not another worship song)
Heavenly Descent
Talkin' Reality TV Blues
Thanks again for coming. I'm hoping to have some video of the show up on the site sometime in the next week or two.
