Okay, so this is really a little dirty trick on Greg. Last night at the New City Cafe concert Dave Potts and Greg joked around about annoying things people say to song writers, especially, "You ought to write a song about..." So, that got me to thinking, since I don't write songs and I'm good at being annoying, this could be a fun thread. If nothing else for a good laugh. Besides, you all have been slacking on the comments and I'm bored!
So, to start you off, last night I went grocery shopping after the concert (rare moment without kids) and thougth, somebody ought to write a song about being at Kroger or Wal-Mart at midnight.
Any other ideas?

Hmm. . .let's see. . .being that I just got back from Maryland and my original flight was cancelled, and then the metro was not on time, so I was late for my new scheduled flight. . .and had to be put on standby for the one after that. . .
(just because meriam is bored. . .)
Greg should write a song about all the frustrations that come with airlines and and flights
(such as being on hold for an hour just to find out your 9:30am flight was cancelled and then you get to sleep in rather than being up at 6am, and then being late because of public transportation. . .etc.)

You could probably get some kind of "relationship-has-ended" type song with the first verse being shopping alone in Walmart at midnight and the second verse being at the airport with delayed flights. What's another situation? I smell a Grammy!

Pluto is not a planet anymore. There just has to be something about the dispair of being failed by science!

I think Greg should do a cover of Tom Waits' "Train Song", complete with gruff vocals.

Hmm, then how about mosquitos? Or how icky giant three inch thingyroaches are - especially when you find them in the bathtub when you go to take a shower and they are gross and just displeasing - and how those legs poke terribly? Or how about the silliness of "publishing companies" like "Publish America" who don't edit and don't market the books they publish and leave it all up to the authors?
Or not?

Nope, we've been getting spammed here a few times a day... I'm trying to be quick about deleting them.

greg,
is there any way for us to help you zap the spammers? or is that only an admin thing?
Sean (just curious)
